Anyone who has ever spent a good chunk of their life with a dog will tell you that their little floofer has a unique human-like personality. This comes with their own tastes, habits, likes & dislikes, “pet” peeves, style of walking or barking, and other quirks that make the animal instantly recognizable to the pet parent.
So we consulted our friend, Mrs. Braganza, an astrologer and tarot reader, to see if the stars play any role in these personalities, and here are some predictions she shared with us. Even if you don’t believe in the Zodiac, it’s always fun to see which predicted traits match with your doggo’s behavior, or how closely they resemble you.
We’ve seen “pet ‘n’ owner” pairs of Leos strutting down malls with fancy suits, and been close witnesses to a Pieces pair chilling in the bedroom for an entire day … so we deduce that there may be some truth in Mrs. Braganza’s words after all!
On that note, here’s a rundown of some common purr-sonality traits & quirks you’ll notice in animals for each sign of the Zodiac. Check your dog or cat’s birthday before diving in so you know which group they belong to!

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20): Life of the Party
If you spot a puppy going up to everyone in the park for free boops and kisses, it’s probably a hyper-active Aries. These guys (and girls) are filled with enthusiasm and love to move around in the spirit of discovering new places, things, or people.
They like action, and by default, need space to stretch their metaphorical wings, so pet owners be warned: if you’re adopting an Aries pooch, do confirm that your condo has a lot of open ground for them to play and zoom.
Although the enthusiasm can be fun most times, it can make training a bit difficult because the attention span seems to be proportionately low. But all said and done, if your goal is to stay active or engaged, an Aries doggo will ensure the same all year round!

They love digging around, playing with toys, and making new friends. If anything, they’re expert social butterflies like the Leos we’ll meet very soon.
